a nature treasure
Every Saturday in the month
How about a fun bike ride in nature that's ideal for the whole family. These excellent guided tours are completely free and allow you to explore the beauty of the Las Salinas Nature Reserve. Taking place every Saturday until mid October, you get a cool eco-friendly and fun way to see the island, with challenges on the way and a prize at the end. Sign me up.
Music by the sea
Every Thursday, all month long
Kick back and relax to the sounds of local Ibizan musicians every Thursday at Chiringuito Blue's weekly night “Jueves Blue”, featuring a cool mix of sensuous sounds. Enjoy the gorgeous sea views whilst trying out the Mediterranean-inspired menu made up of great locally-sourced products. Little ones are welcome with the restaurant's kids' corner staying up later too.
All that jazz
3-7 September
Ibiza Town's annual Jazz Festival returns with a four-day event stuffed full of great sounds in the gorgeous open-air venue that is the walled citadel of Dalt Vila. A starlit buffet of top international and local jazz artists awaits. Throw on your best evening wear and celebrate this musical genre in true Ibizan style.
Literary imagination
10-12 September
Pikes Hotel returns with its second Literary Festival, where you can enjoy mixing with event headliners Irvine Welsh and Linda Quinn in a series of exciting live interviews. Topics of the three-day event will include lyric writing, how to get your work published and more. With panel talks, poetry readings, interactive workshops and exclusive film screenings, become immersed in a world of words in this wonderful setting.
Music is art
13 September
Beachouse Ibiza's imaginative wonderland, the Vibart party returns with its cool combination of great music from top DJs like Jean Claude Ades and Dorian Craft and the finest food in a magical setting. Enjoy a top evening of music and art at this heavenly beach club.
Movie magic
13 September
Enjoy an enchanted night under the stars at Amante Ibiza with a special charity screening of top classic film, Easy Rider featuring Hollywood greats, Peter Fonda, Jack Nicholson and Dennis Hopper. A movie night with cava and popcorn in a terrifically atmospheric location - what could be better? All proceeds go to Riders for Health International, which provides support to rural African villages.
For art's sake
19-22 September

Art is on the agenda with the third Ibiza Art Fair back this year at the Palacio de Congresos in Santa Eulalia. It's an event that's aimed at making art accessible and showcasing local and international artist talent with lots of treats in store. With 150 art exhibitors featuring national original contemporary, modern and antique works - plus live painting and interactive art talks and activities for kids, there's plenty to do in this fun cultural event.
Music creating change
22 September
Over 40 bands come together with the Ibiza edition of global charity event, Playing for Change - rock, funk, reggae, blues, jazz, samba, pop and flamenco music over four stages in Cala Llonga. A great day out from midday for all ages, with street food markers, lots of entertainment, a special beach kids' area plus a hippy market day and night. All musicians are playing free of charge so that all funds will go to the charity, helping provide free music classes for kids in economically disadvantaged countries. Now that's beautiful rhythm!
Closing with a flourish
28 and 29 September
High-energy and luxury venue, STK Ibiza is getting ready to see out the summer with the first of the closing parties for its top-line entertainment nights. First up is dinner disco concept Candypants: an electric party vibe paired with fine food on the 28th. If you miss that, Champagne Charlies the next day on the 29th means another hot spectacle, with great cuisine and you throwing some cool shapes on the dance floor. Keep your eyes peeled for its October closing nights too!
Roll out the red carpet
29 September
As the season comes to a close, it's time for Nikki Beach's grand finale with its glamorous Red Party, an event that will bring the beach club's 2019 season to a magnificent close. Make sure to go dressed in red and enjoy a parade of acrobatic acts, dazzling dancers and more - all to fabulous beats from top DJs. Go early and get in for the delicious Red Party Brunch with great food and lots of fizz.
