The ever popular and expanding Ibiza Beer Festival is back and celebrating its 12th year with a move to a new month, taking place over three days from 11-13 October.
The popular annual event is now scheduled to coincide with the worldwide celebration of Oktoberfest, the German beer-celebrating global phenonomenon.
From its home at the island's exhibition hall, the Recinto Ferial, over 170 beers from around the world will be showcased, including craft beers by local brewser Ibosim.
In past years over 10,000 people have passed through the doors to indulge in the delights of the magical golden liquid and this year's event is promising to be the biggest yet.
The venue will be packed with many food outlets, vying to provide the perfect beer-friendly hearty snacks, from würsten sausages, burgers, pizzas and hams - all can be enjoyed on long tables in true Oktoberfest style.
Live music and traditional dance will entertain the visitors with a soundtrack covering all tastes in pop and rock.
This year, the lively and friendly atmosphere will continue on Sunday lunchtime when a Vespa rally, with over 100 scooters, will be riding in to indulge in a large-scale serving of the local favourite dish, arroz de matanzas, a pork and rice stew, that's simply delicious.
Entry is €10 per person with the event strictly for over eighteens only. Proceeds raised are going to support local charity, Ibiza and Formentera Association Against Cancer (IFCC), which is committed to fighting the devastating effects of breast cancer.
