Woodstock comes to Ibiza
1 May
Party like it's 1969 again as the famous Las Dalias hosts a Woodstock anniversary bash as part of its 65th-year anniversary this year. Over two stages, 17 local musicians will step up to serenade guests with tributes to rock greats like Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin. Along with the usual hippy market, food stalls, art exhibitions and activities for all ages, you can enjoy a day filled with peace and love.
Hippy retail therapy
From 3 May
Benirras beach is famously known as the place where the free-spirited flower people gather to dance nights away to the beat of bongo drums. From the beginning of May, this is augmented with the arrival of the beach's hippy market, taking place on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. For the complete Bohemian experience, head over on these days to get a lovely gift for you or whomever you want to find something special for.
Boats on show
3 May
Those boat people at Smart Charter Ibiza know how to put on a good show and with its fleet expanding all the time, it's putting on its own boat show event. A daytime nautical extravaganza for sea-bound customers to marvel at the un-barnacled beauties that will be taking you on one of its excellent charter trips. With music, drink and snacks provided, there's no excuse to not get yourself down for this excellent event in Ibiza Town's marina.
Rosario Flores in concert
4 May
The Latin Grammy award-winning singer, Rosario Flores lands in Santa Eulalia. Rosario brings fantastic energy to her performances, captivating audiences. Expect a wide musical range spanning multiple genres including pop, rock and flamenco. Catch her rocking the stage for free at the esplanade next to the Palacio de Congresos.
Touch down in San Antonio
11 May
Sportsmen and women unite for this series of rugby tournaments in the sand. San Antonio is the place (or beach) to be for a ball battle, where teams test their endurance next to the sea. Go and cheer on your favourites as they score their tries and get scrum ready as they battle for the championship title. A popular event that's as much a sporty social occasion in the sun as it is a cliff-hanging finale.
Local fashion on parade
2-5 May
If you can't cut the catwalk, though love to see those that do, go and see the Adlib Moda Fashion show, where you'll get to see the cream of White Isle design. Now in its 46th year, the event is an important one on the fashion calendar with a showcase of some striking pieces, all created by top local designers. Fashionistas, get inspired by some seriously stylish apparel on show at this excellent event!
Rock and roll your Harley
7-12 May

Leather- and denim-clad rockers and bikers come to Ibiza for the yearly road trip gathering that is the HRH Road Trip. Watch the Harley parade on San Antonio's seafront by day and at night headbang to some awesome live bands. Unadulterated rock and unplugged sounds are on the sonic menu and are guaranteed to make you bust out your best air guitar skills.
Ibiza Town goes Medieval
9-12 May
If it's May it has to be Ibiza Town's long-running and hugely popular Medieval Fair. Transporting you to a time of knights, princesses, jugglers and jesters and the odd dragon or two, you can almost relive Game of Thrones for real - without the slayings. Craft and food stalls keep all entertained along with the sounds of the oud, falconry displays and well, all things medieval. A top day out for the entire family.
Caribbean delights
9-13 May
The Caribbean music event that is the Ibiza Soca Festival returns for its third year. These fast Trinidad and Tobago beats can be enjoyed across multiple venues, including Eden, Es Paradis and O Beach. A cavalcade of the world's best soca artists and DJs are coming with each party guaranteed to satisfy those summer afternoon shake and dance urges.
Clowning around
22-26 May
Now doubled in size since its first inception, the Barruguet Theatre Festival is a delight and introduces the performing arts to children via theatre, puppetry, dance, music and good old circus clowns. Kids aren't the only audience, with entertainment for for adults and an inclusive policy. A number of shows are being put on with the regular free street theatre too. Go!
