Talk us through the track selection in the mix.
"The mix features some new and old tracks which have stuck in my playlist over the past few months. It ranges from deep house to techno with tracks from the likes of Matteo Spedicati, Davide Squillace, DJ Sneak, Reset Robot and PBR Streetgang."
Tell us about the podcast - where and how was it recorded?
"I compiled it choosing from around 40 tracks then mixed the selected ones live using Ableton with some custom effects and an iPad using the Lemur control surface in a hotel room in Mexico."
The Plug
What is keeping you busy at the moment?
"At the moment I'm touring a bit, I'm currently in Mexico then its a small tour of the UAE in March then in April I'm in Denmark and Prague. Then in between gigs it's in the studio, I'm currently working on a new collaboration with Ryan Thompson and some new material along with a live show for a new alias which I'm really looking forward to developing."
What is your connection with Ibiza?
"I'm coming up to my sixth season in Ibiza this year, I work as production manager at Amnesia for Cream and the Radio 1 events and play at Amnesia, Savannah and Ushuaia."
You have a weekend off. What do you do? Where do you go?
"If it's the winter and I'm in the UK, I will catch up with friends and eat some good food. If it's the summer and I'm in Ibiza it's relax on a beach in the day, dinner at Sa Capella and then see what unravels after their killer Hierbas."
What plans are in place for the coming year?
"As I said before it's touring and studio work then come May it's back to Ibiza for another season of madness."

Biography
In what seems like no time at all, UK based DJ and producer James Dutton has been quietly making a much-deserved name for himself as a purveyor of well-crafted House. With an extremely successful ongoing residency at Amnesia in Ibiza and a collection of killer tracks released on a selection of highly respected labels, his fresh and unique take on contemporary House and Techno has forced many to take note.
A quick look at his discography reveals original productions and remixes for an impressive array of labels including Gregor Tresher's Break New Soil, Fergie's Tribal Rage and Rekluse, ALiVE Recordings, Great Stuff, Monique Musique and Incorrect Music. Tracks such as “Kepler”, “Maroc”, “Dancing With Strangers” and “Lost In Dubai” have certainly had their quality ratified with support from some of the world's biggest DJs. Sasha, Marco Carola, Steve Lawler, Jamie Jones and John Digweed have all regularly supported his work which has also been found in the lighter sets of Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, and James Zabiela. It was Richie Hawtin in particular who took a liking to “Kepler”, opening his sets with it for many months including at his weekly ENTER parties in Ibiza and his closing set at the renowned Timewarp event in Mannheim earlier this year.
James's own DJ sets combine a pioneering use of technology with a sound that seems like it was born on the terrace (and no doubt perfected on there during the five summers James has called Ibiza his home). Warm, chunky and percussive grooves held together and driven forward by bass frequencies on the deeper side of things conjure up a hypnotic vibe that not only mesmerises but also has enough impact to ignite the darkest of main rooms.
Well known for his extended House sets at Amnesia (one of the oldest and widely known clubs in Ibiza) he has also played Space, Ushuaia and Privilege in 2012 (the latter at this year's BBC Radio 1 party to over 8000 revellers) and has been a regular performer at the Creamfields festival in the UK. He has also completed two successful tours with deadmau5, demonstrating his broad appeal to music lovers of a variety of tastes.
Still only in his mid-twenties, 2013 is set to be his biggest year yet as he launches a new combined alias and live show project as well as tours of South America, Asia, Europe and of course a return to Ibiza.
