Food, fantastic prices and fun combine at San Antonio's annual gastro fest of tasty tapas and perfect pinchos starting this Thursday and every Thursday from 21/2 until 28/3.
The winning formula from years past is repeated as 60 – yes six zero – bars in the town and surrounding areas offer a pincho and beer or wine for €2 and a tapa and drink for €4. For the uninitiated a pincho (pintxa in Catalan) is a morcel of food, usually anchored to a slice of bread with a toothpick and a tapa is a small plateful of food. Don't be discouraged by the word small, as there are some fabulous creations and combinations of food on offer, just take a look at the creations from two of the bars in our photos!
This informal style of dining is also a great social event, as the bars are packed to the rafters with people from all over the island mixing, mingling and having fun, especially when the tourist train, on a route around all the bars, arrives with much bell ringing and cheering.

So, well done to everybody involved for putting it together and see you there?
