After another thrilling five months of dance floor memories, Ibiza is once again on hiatus for the winter. At least in the super-club respect. Those of us still on the island are hanging up our dancing shoes for a few months after a couple of days of Halloween party action.
Fortunately, there's still a tonne of music to keep us energised and warm throughout the cool season. Wherever and whatever you're up to right now, here's our pick of last month's releases to keep you warm in Autumn/Winter.
Sosa | DFCW | Solä | 4 October
Sosa (not to be confused with DC-10 regular Sossa) is a Liverpudlian producer destined for big things. DFCW first reared its head at the start of the summer, with dance floors eager to identify it. Solardo's Solä picked it up after it became a staple of their BODYWORKS' sets.
The sampled lyrics might border on the questionable in terms of taste, yes. However, we don't have to look too far into house music's colourful history to find that the genre was built on records with near-the-knuckle, risque content. Crowd reactions speak for themselves.
Rampa | Terrace | keinemusik | 18 October
Although clearly an ode to DC-10 (the collaboration with Circoloco gives it away), the fact remains that both tracks from this keinemusik EP did damage across the island's dance floors in 2019. We heard them played at Cocoon, Transmoderna, Solomun +1 and heaps of others.
After being released on wax several months ago, the EP has finally be cleared for digital release. Personally, it's Rampa's Terrace that brings back most fond memories from Ibiza summer 2019. Though &ME's Garden is still worth checking-out.
Vinicius Honorio | Looking For The Devil | Octopus Recordings | 18 October
Landing right in time for Halloween, Vinicius Honorio's latest offering sticks to his favoured dark territory within the techno realm. With Autumn here, our focus switches from Ibiza's sun-drenched terraces to dance floors at party destinations elsewhere in Europe.
We reckon this one is more suited to the latter. Looking For The Devil features the razor sharp production touch and bundles of energy that we have come to expect from this rising Brazilian talent. Maybe next summer we'll catch him on Balearic shores?
Phunkadelica | Pensiero Stupendo (Musumeci Remix) | Multinotes | 18 October
Another track plucked right from the closing party run-in. This time, a memorable dance floor moment courtesy of Solomun at his +1 marathon. Looking to his Diynamic stable, he picked our peer Musumeci's latest remix.
Exactly what you want at 04:00 peak time - deviant disco to make your hairs stand on end. Musumeci of course had his own great Ibiza campaign alongside Lehar with MUSE at HEART. UK-based fans can catch both Solly and Musi at Printworks London this winter.
Jamie Jones & The Martinez Brothers | Bappi | Hot Creations | 11 October
Some records just demand to be included. Much like JJ's collab with Darius Syrossian that we featured in September, this is one such release. When two giants of Ibiza hook-up, the results might not be for everybody but we're very certain this one will go off inside the clubs.
Paradise might have just had its watershed season, surpassing the popularity of Circoloco. Meanwhile, TMB's own mini-party series Cuttin' Headz was another DC-10 success story. The track itself contains a repetitive south Asian sample sure to send crowds into spasm.
SIS | Nesrib (Archie Hamilton's Nose Rub Remix) | Cecille Records | 11 October
Sound familiar? It should. Archie Hamilton brings a classic up to date, as Cecille Records returns to the fore. FUSE's Welsh wonder chops up the vocal and injects some trademark rolling groove. Played by stablemate Enzo Siragusa at BODYWORKS closing.

Roger That | The Washer | South Of Saturn | 11 October
Presumably named because it sounds like an industrial washing machine starting up. The latest release from rising UK talent Roger That has found a home on Lee Foss' Repopulate Mars off-shot, South Of Saturn.
The track ticks over with loose drum hits and a breakdown sure to send dance floor's ballistic. Promising a fleet of new material waiting in the wings to be released, Roger has just announced the launch of his own label Over & Out Records. Coming in, loud and clear!
Third Person | Two Of Us (Jaden Raxel Remix) | Somatic Records | 28 October
Afterlife attendees may well recognise this one as having been picked up by party hosts, Tale Of Us. Frankly, we can understand why. The melodic cut fits the duo's modus operandi to a tee. Like this? We also rate the Wolfson remix.
Despite being a relative newcomer, Somatic itself has proven time and again to be a go to destination for ethereal music that fits that within TOU's remit. Time to check-out its back catalogue if you aren't already familiar.
Foster | The Truth | Vamos Music Talents | 3 October
International in the truest sense of the word, globe trotting DJ, Foster has carved out a name for herself playing in far-flung exotic locations. You can regularly find her spinning on the underground circuit in Dubai, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.
After earning her stripes behind the decks, she's finally turned her hand to production with this, her debut release. The Truth features the kind of soulful female vocal that reminds us of UKG's glory days, cross-pollinated with acid synths and a rolling bassline.
Brame & Hamo | Waves Reach | Feel My Bicep | 11 October
Until recently, Brame & Hamo had stayed almost exclusively to their own label of the same name. But 2019 outings on Maceo Plex's Ellum Audio and Dusky's 17 Steps signalled their arrival to the major league. The next natural step was a release on FMB - and here it is.
If we were to tell you that the Feel My Bicep takeover at Pikes was one of the best nights of the summer, you'd better believe us, because we'd be telling the truth. Andy and Matt always keep Ibiza appearances limited, but maybe, just maybe, there's scope for a few more outings in 2020?
