Restaurant meal deals continue across Ibiza this winter with the launch of the fifth Jornadas Gastronómicas del Cerdo running from today until 22 December 2016. The event sees a dozen participating restaurants offering special fixed-price menus across Santa Eulalia in homage to the pig with lots of different pork dishes.
Just €15 gets you a starter, main course and dessert for either lunch or dinner, with at least one of the two starters on each restaurant menu featuring pork. For a small price, you get to experience the talent of Santa Eulalia restaurants and their deep gastronomic heritage
These mouthwatering menus are available in the run up to Christmas, from Monday to Friday and includes the eateries Royalty, Can Cosmi, Asian Road, Bluefish, El Naranjo, Celler Can Pere, El Nido, Can Pep Salvado, Baccarat and Sea Salt.
This event also highlights one of the ancient traditions of Ibiza: the slaughter of the pig to feed the family, after which all would involved to make delicious products like sobrasada sausage or morcilla. You can see a recreation of the killings, thankfully not live, at the restaurant Can Pep Salvado, on the road to Es Canar on 1 December 2016 and later at 13:30 h in Santa Eulalia's Plaza de España, you can try typical Ibizan pork products as well as an arroz de matanza, a paella-like dish made with pork.
If you want to pig out on some great food, head to Santa Eulalia and bag yourself one of these great menu offers.
