If you have already checked out our Top 10 Tracks for July then you should be well on your way to having a play list most would have a dance-off over.
Each summer we always hear a selection of tracks which end up being those finger raising, head nodding numbers that we all love and adore and occasionally get a little sick of... for nostalgic reason of course. So, here are are few more for you to enjoy during August and this time we have gone a little deeper...
1 - Kölsch feat. Troels Abrahamsen
'All That Matters' (Original Mix)
This brilliant track by Kölsch which features the vocals of Troels Abrahamsen has a beautiful steel drum synthline working through it. Released on Kompakt this chilled techno track has been going off anywhere from Sasha and Luciano at Ushuaïa to Monika Kruse playing it at Carl Cox.
2 - Julio Bashmore
'Au Seve'
Bristol Lad Julio Bashmore brings us this catchy summer track of groovy boogie house which brings together the sound of disco and a melodic bassline which gets you hooked from the start. Released on his new label, Broadwalk records the echoey vocals can be heared in West End bars and Ushuaïa alike; as the first release on the imprint and a true summer track we are expecting good things from the Radio One DJ and house producer in the future.
3 - Asaf Avidan & the Mojos
'One Day/Reckoning Song' (Wankelmut Remix)
Israeli folk rock band, Asaf Avidan & the Mojos brought the world the original 'The Reckoning' track in 2008 and this year has seen German DJ Wankelmut brings us this remix which is hugely popular in his homeland and now luckily for us, Ibiza. Currently Number 6 on Beatport Top 10 there is no denying that this is a summer hit; note that it has a different digital release name of 'One Day'.
4 - Apparat
'Song of Los' (Michael Mayer Remix)
This popular track from German electronica DJ, Sascha Ring aka. Apparat has been given a new birth in this Machael Mayer remix. The gripping vocals are Sascha's own and accompanied with a choir of angelic voices and some quality skills from Mayer himself makes this track one of the most moving and memorable of the summer. The likes of Dixon and Âme have given this track great support dropping it at Space on the Terraza creating an euphoric moment; you will also hear the summer tune in beach clubs and bars this season.
5 - Kadoc
'The Night Train' (Julian Perez Remix)
Unreleased track, Kadoc has proved to be a favourite amongst DJs so far such as Loco Dice and can be heard at various of the island's most popular parties from Cocoon on the Terrace and for Music on also, as well as being dropped at Carl Cox's Tuesday party at Space. The record will be released on Fathers & Sons Productions label and will be a vinyl-only release.
6 - Onsunlade
'Envision' (Argy Vocal Mix)
After being one of the biggest records of 2011 after Âme and Dixon remixed the track last year, Defected have re-released the track ensuring that it will conquer the airwaves once more - oh and it also coincides with the release of the Osunlade In The House compilation... convenient. The Argy mix takes us down the garage sounding route of the 90's and with dubby vocals - will be planted in your brain from the offset, this track gets solid airplay in many venues such as Space, Sankeys, Pacha and Ushuaïa.
7 - Todd Terje
'Inspector Norse'
Nothing like bit of dub-disco infused with bleeps, keys and ninetendo-esque sounds... how fun! This track embraces many happy sounds and will definitely get your feet tapping. Norwegian producer, Todd Terje has also released an offical video for the track which includes dancing in horse fields, cooking up naughty treats and staring into the ocean so expect to be taken to a whole new place when this is played; catch it at Cocoon after hours or at We Love.
8 - Ben Pearce
'What I Might Do'
A favourite amongst the Diynamic gang and often played at their Sankeys party, Diynamic Neon Nights Ben Pearce's track 'What I might do' hugs your ears from start to finish with the deep vocals and bouncy protruding bassline. Still unreleased (although rumour has it it will be released in September on Under The Shade) the track remains as soulful as ever with its raw, deep and bouncy sound, you will definitely hear this summer tune at Sankeys this summer.
9 - Frank Wiedemann and Ry Cuming
'Howling' (Âme Remix)
This soft, gripping track has been a hit this summer and after teasing crowds with it at their Off Sonar party the Innervision lads snapped it up and aside from releasing it the guys are also giving it a big push here in Ibiza with lots of airplay. Catch it being played at We Love at Space on the Terraza and we can guarantee that you will be able to feel the atmosphere as it really creates a unique buzz in the room. One half of German duo, Âme, Frank Widemann and singer Ry Cuming wrote the classic which can only be described as beautiful.
10 - Infinity Ink
'Infinity'
If you haven't heard this track by the Infinity Ink boys then you have been asleep or in hiding... Played at Sankeys, Space, Plan Be and beach bars and clubs around the island the catchy vocals from Ali Love are on everybody's lips. Having been featured as Pete Tong's essential tune earlier in the year obviously helped this particular summer tune get on its way; but we think the blend of garage and a house army of chanting vocals is enough to get the dance-floor bouncing... cosmic stuff.
