Huge news from the island's best house party today, as the infamous Pikes Hotel has revealed its scintillating line-up for a summer of sun-drenched madness in the San Antonio hills.
Nothing screams Ibiza quite like a pool party at Pikes, and in 2016, the action will officially kick off on Friday 29th April, when the hotel will celebrate its official opening party. A host of the island's favourite DJs have already been confirmed for the fiesta, including Justin Harris, Andy Baxter and Tom Crane. Flamenco legend, Paco Fernandez, will also be in attendance to fan the party flames.
This season will also see the much-anticipated return of icon, DJ Harvey, who'll be back after his Pikes debut in 2015 to front one of the island's favourite residencies, Mercury Rising. Last year this was an undisputed hit with islanders and locals alike, so we can expect a huge turnout for seven Mondays throughout August and September.
Elsewhere, there'll be a return for Rock Nights, which will be back to host the official after party post Ibiza Rocks concerts on Wednesday nights. Some of Ibiza's top promoters, including Melon Bomb, Secret Life, Homies, Music For Freaks and exciting new addition, Cosmic Pineapple, will take it in turns at the helm of Thursday and Friday nights, and seeing us into the weekend is Ibiza Rocks House Party Presents, with resident Artwork and special guests.
A new addition for Saturday evenings is Cous Cous Club by Ferial K, which will feature North African-inspired cuisine and décor, as well as another lesson in flamenco from Paco Fernandez, and seeing out the week will be the Mark & Sarah Broadbent and Andy Livesey-curated party, Pikes on Sundays, which showcases an eclectic line-up of some of the island's finest talent, all for you to enjoy while feasting on the hotel's famous Sunday roast.
On Friday 22nd July, there'll also be an island debut for Tonga, the London-based party run by Mike Skinner and Murkage Dave. A one-stop shop for rap, grime and dub step, it's a night that's been gaining huge followers over the past 18 months, so expect big things from former The Streets frontman and his compadres.
All this, and just for starters. Keep an eye for more Pikes news as we get it.
