It was another fat, juicy week of announcements on the island; full of summer news for us to chow down, feast on and fulfil our wildest gluttonous desires with. And as the season of sunshine and sangria draws ever-closer, we're feeling smugly confident that this year is on course to be one of the best yet. Take a look.
Holi Garden Festival
Ibiza's ode to South East Asia's traditional Hindu festival is back for another session of vibrant colour and celebration. Benimussa Park is the host every Monday from 6th June to 19th September, with everyone having two hours to chill and listen to live music before the colour packs are detonated across the main dance floor. Residents Heath Holme, Claudio Ricci and Saintro P will be the residents with the soundtrack.
Armin van Buuren Ibiza dates
The trance Titan has announced five exclusive dates across the summer season in 2016. Amnesia and Ushuaïa are the two venues in for the Buuren treatment, with his first date falling on 7th July for the institutional Cream. Catch him later in July and in August and September.
Cream line-ups
It's been a massive week for Cream with the release of the full 2016 line-up. Added to the billing of Fatboy Slim with his first Balearic residency and the return of Above & Beyond, Paul van Dyk and Armin van Buuren, is confirmation of Cream favourites Aly & Fila, John O' Callaghan, Cosmic Gate, Markus Schulz and Boys Noize. Elsewhere, big things are expected from the legendary Paul Oakenfold, EDM stormer Steve Aoki, island veteran Ferry Corsten, electronic outfit Knife Party and chart smasher Diplo.
Circoloco Opening
The long list of DJs has been released for the opening party that holds the title as one of the most notorious fiestas on the planet. Footing the bill for Monday 23rd of May is Seth Troxler, the Martinez Brothers, Tale of Us, Black Coffee, Matthias Tanzmann, Kerri Chandler, Tania Vulcano, Art Department, Davide Squillace and Ellen Allien. Plus we'll be transported to the magical world of Damian Lazarus alongside huge names like Jackmaster, Dubfire, Agoria, Cassy, John Talabot, Dyed Soundorom, Gerd Janson, Dan Ghenacia, DVS1, tINI, David August, Cirillo, DJ W!LD, Tom Trago, Clive Henry, Jose de Divina, Tiger & Woods, Russ Yallop, Robert James, Sossa, Rene, and Konstantin.
SuperMartXé's ninth season
Privilege, the world's biggest nightclub, will once again be the host to the sexually charged thematic residency every Saturday from 4th June. DJs appearing across its ninth season include Angello, Afrojack, Chuckie, NERVO, Brian Cross and SuperMartXé's very own Rebeka Brown. This year there'll also be a revolutionary lighting system that will give life to an assembly of LED and unique special effects.
Paris Hilton Amnesia residency
The blonde bombshell returns for her fourth consecutive year every Saturday from 2nd July to 3rd September. With the American babe in charge, Foam & Diamonds guarantees another massive glitzy showdown for Amnesia's weekend clubbers.
Brasilio presents La Troya
The Ibiza institution returns to Space and this year it holds the midweek slot every Wednesday from 1st June until 28th September. New themes will be explored with resident DJs Oscar Colorado and Camilo Franco in charge of spinning the up-tempo tunage for the gay friendly crowd.
Martin Garrix Ushuaïa residency
The Dutch prodigy is returning to Playa d'en Bossa's open-air super club for his third consecutive year. He'll be landing on the White Isle with the Multiply party for seven dates between Friday 1st July and Friday 26th August.
Float Your Boat unites with Cream
Cream is once again ocean bound as it unites with the Float Your Boat party crew for a second year running. Before the Amnesia session commences, clubbers will be taken to deep sea level with a hot selection of electronic artists including Jordan Suckley, Philip George, SKT, Jack Eye Jones, Junior J and Anton Powers. The Float Your Boat package includes the boat party (with one free drink), free transport and entry to Cream at Amnesia.
ABODE line-ups
ABODE's debut season is taking form with the release of its techno and house fuelled line-up. Residents from the ABODE family confirmed on the bill include Artikal, Ellie Cocks, GW Harrison, Jimmy Switch, Lindsey Matthews, Taylor and well-established house DJ and Will Taylor. Guest DJs confirmed are Alex Arnout, Alexis Raphael, Anotr, Ben Pearce, Bodhi, Huxley, Mambo Brothers, Oliver Dollar, Sonny Fodera, Yousef, Secondcity and German Brigante.
