Chibuku Shake Shake's into its 15th year

Big birthday, massive line-up.

Chibuku Shake Shake, named after a reportedly disgusting Zambian beer that required you to shake it up before drinking, has been going strong now for almost 15 years and will celebrate in style on Saturday 14th March in Liverpool, UK.

The party has existed in a variety of forms over the years, across a variety of venues. The music policy has changed a little as the years have gone by, to account for tastes of course, but for the most part it has represented the more alternative sides of electronic music culture. Genres like drum 'n' bass, dubstep, techno, house and the more obscure sounds all had solid bases at Chibuku, making it the premior spot to hear some of the biggest or more most underground spinners of their time.

The venue of choice for this special birthday event will be Liverpool's Camp and Furnace, from 2pm to 11pm, and the line-up for this day-time party is suitably massive.

Andy C, Annie Mac, Ben UFO, Benji B, David Rodigan, Craze, DJ EZ, Four Tet, George Fitzgerald, Jackmaster, Joy Orbison, Oneman all feature, representing the grungier side of music in fine form.

The party will continue at their true home, the East Village Arts Club, formerly Barfly, Masque etc, from 11pm.

Tickets are available now at £25 + bf.
