Preview: Ibiza Rocks in September

Ibiza Rocks counts down to the end of the season.

In their 9th season, Ibiza Rocks is once again giving us a summer to remember. This year the legendary outdoor stage has already seen Haim show us that girls can head bang too, Lily Allen tell us all about her days at Plastik, and Ed Sheeran giving the venue a birthday to remember, and we've still got three massive shows to look forward to.

September sees the island's home of live music embrace the world of indie bands, kicking things off on the 3rd September with the men behind hits like I Predict A Riot, Ruby, and Coming Home, the Kaiser Chiefs. This will be the band's fourth gig at the Ibiza venue, and with five albums under their belts and new material just released, they shouldn't be short of ideas to get the San Antonio crowd on their feet. Supporting the Kaiser Chiefs will be fellow Brit rockers Peace, who although new on the scene have been making waves with a well received début album and impressive calendar of gigs. With big guns like BBC Radio 1's Huw Stevens, The Guardian and NME among their supporters, we've no doubt that these boys from Worcester will hold their own next to the indie-rock legends.

Next up on the 10th September is another band who've been a part of Ibiza Rocks' journey since the beginning, The Kooks. Like the Kaiser Chiefs, these indie rockers played at the Ibiza venue in its first season back in 2005, and like both the Kaiser Chiefs and Ibiza Rocks itself, have gone from strength to strength in the last nine years. The Brighton quartet come armed with new material, having just released their new single Down from their forthcoming album Listen; so fans of the indie crooners should definitely be putting this date in their diaries. Lined up to support the foursome are new kids on the block Teleman. Former members of Pete and the Pirates, this trio offers a fresh, unique take on rock-pop - a well-paired match for any Kooks fans on the island.

Unfortunately all good things have to come to an end, and in Ibiza Rocks' case that end is its coveted Closing Party on the 17th September. Not one to go quietly, they're ending the season with a bang with folk-come-indie rock stars Bombay Bicycle Club. The London boys are back for their third Ibiza Rocks gig, this time bringing with them their UK #1 album So Long See You Tomorrow. British singer-songwriter Dan Croll will also be on hand to kick things off under the Balearic skies, in what looks set to be a phenomenal end to another first class season from Ibiza Rocks.
