If your favourite genre of music involves a toss up between urban and EDM, then at least where you spend your Thursday nights is going to be an easier decision. MistaJam's night Speakerbox, notorious for bringing the hottest emerging dance, urban and dubstep artists together with the big players in their fields, is coming back to Ibiza - but this time to Eden's successor Gatecrasher.
San An's new answer to clubbing has already launched three of its residencies so far, and as well as the opening of speakerbox this Thursday, 19th June, Crasher and El Carnival open their doors next week to join the busy schedule.
It is a big step for the five year old urban brand, moving from their previous residency in Space's smallest room El Salon, at Carl Cox: The Party Unites night, to hosting a whole club itself - but after pulling in the crowds at Gatecrasher's Opening Party at the end of last month, things are looking promising for MistaJam in his new Ibiza home.
It's no suprise that securing a BBC Radio 1 DJ has its valuable perks, with an impressive list of massive mainstream names lined up to join MistaJam at Gatecrasher over the summer. Katy B, Shift K3Y, DJ Fresh, Wilkinson, Rudimental, Shy FX, Tinie Tempah, Example, are just some of the chart-topping acts confirmed, with yet more to be announced. And for those of you with a more underground palette, you can also see the likes of Bondax, Issac Christopher and Zinc take to the Speakerbox stage over the coming months.
This weeks opening sees Mistajam joined by Majestic and recent breakthrough artists Sigma and Meridian Dan to kick things off. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased from Spotlight for 40€.
