2014 will be the third season of Steve Lawler's VIVa Warriors party at Sankeys and this is an event we fully expect to call Sankeys 'home' for years to come. It has been easily the most consistently successful party for Sankeys since their debut season in 2012. Of course, Lawler's connection with the island of Ibiza is much older than the three years he has spent further tuning his craft at Sankeys, having held residencies at some of the islands biggest and best clubs and parties for over ten years now.
The then nicknamed 'king of Space' would now fully deserve a similar title at Sankeys, but for now holding their own on a night that is packed will solid competition across the island is achievement enough. The parties run from Sunday 1st June until Sunday 28th September for this bumper season, so no excuses will be accepted from non-attendees.
Steve Lawler will be headlining each party across the three rooms of Sankeys - the Basement, The Lab and Spektrum, with the second main room The Lab being closed for the first five weeks of the season. The line-up is typically big, as we have come to expect from Lawler and the Warriors team. Nick Curly, Guti, Miguel Campbell, Yousef, Andrea Oliva, Hot Since 82, Robert Dietz, Luca Bacchetti, Moodymann, Monika Kruse and Patrick Topping are all DJs set to appear over the season, with the Capadi Rebels - headed up by Randall M - hosting the Spektrum each week. The Lab will have the title of 'Viva MUSIC presents' with the aim of showcasing the deep pool of talent the label has to offer, the legendary DJ Ralf presents for the mid-season parties ensuring the Italian contingent is well catered for and then MUSIC IS LOVE in the latter stages of the season.
