Midway through a season of a dark and boundless exploration of music, Flying Circus is starting to amass some serious critical acclaim in Ibiza. For six years now the product of the Audiofly duo's imagination and determination has manifested in successful Flying Circus parties right across the globe and, though only in its infancy, the Ibiza residency on Fridays at Sankeys is sculpting itself another success story.
We want to give house and techno fans a heads up about the coming weeks of Flying Circus, because August line-ups are especially top drawer. Audiofly continues to play most weeks, which is reason enough in itself to head down to Sankeys of a Friday, but it's the interesting selection of guests which give this night its edge. This Friday the 9th of August Audiofly is joined by Tiefschwarz, Daniel Bortz, Konrad Black, Finnebassen, Special Case and Alex Dolby. A solid mix of deep house and tech-heads there!
The next week (Friday the 16th) is even stronger, with Guy Gerber venturing away from his Pacha digs for something no frills and completely music focused. Gerber and Audiofly are joined on the bill by funky duo Blond:ish, DJ Tennis, Tom Trago, Pole Folder and Miss Jools.
On Friday the 23rd Finnebassen comes back for more of the Circus, Lee Curtiss gets involved in the party with Audiofly and Agoria, Mayaan Nidan, Ali Nasser and Marco Faraone also cross the decks. The final week of August (Friday the 30th) is probably the finest of them all, with dOP returning to play live (expect anything from these guys!), Martin Buttrich also playing a live set, Hot Since 82 DJing the deep house numbers, joined by Luca Bacchetti, Avatism (live), Den Ishu and Ugur Yurt.
We recommend getting yourself to one of these nights, we promise you will discover at least one new act you didn't know you loved, and will come away with a good stash of ‘music moments' for the Ibiza memory bank.
