Dubai focus: Ushuaïa Dubai Harbour Experience

15,000 attendees witnessed Calvin Harris headline the inaugural party with plenty more scheduled in 2024.

During winter, Ibiza's famed super-clubs shut up shop and take their well-earned annual five month sabbatical. While our largest dancefloors may fall silent over this period, the island's global influence continues elsewhere in the world...

This year, a growing influx of Ibiza-based brands are heading to the United Arab Emirates.

Among them, is Ushuaïa Ibiza. On 26 October, it launched its winter series of parties off the Persian Gulf with a staple of its Ibiza programme (as well as being, arguably, the biggest DJ in the world!)

Lift off for Ushuaïa Dubai Harbour Experience

Last Saturday, 15,000 attendees amassed to witness global superstar Calvin Harris headline Ushuaïa Dubai Harbour Experience's inaugural party. The ten hour extravaganza also featured the weekly warm-up from Calvin Harris' Fridays on Ibiza, Tyson O'Brien and local talent.

Standing at 25 metres high and 50 metres wide, the structure used for Ushuaïa Dubai Harbour Experience dwarfs its Ibiza counterpart.

The joint venture between Ushuaïa operators The Night League and Dubai-based hospitality group Studio A by Addmind, enthralled all those in attendance. As well as fireworks, lasers and CO2, the Dubai skyline was lit up by a 15-minute synchronised drone show.

This is just the beginning.

Coming up, Ushuaïa Dubai Harbour Experience hosts Adriatique present X on Saturday 16 November (coinciding with the first Dubai edition of International Music Summit). Then on New Year's Eve, Mathame present NEO is the next big confirmed show, ushering in 2025.

More is still to be announced, with the programme set to continue into the first quarter of 2025.
