Coming up at Akasha

The new nightclub at Las Dalias lights up winter.

Akasha, the stunning new indoor event space at Las Dalias, has wasted no time in racing out of the blocks.

Having only opened to the public on 4 November, it has already amassed praise from all corners of the island and from within the industry. After an initial wave of winter parties, you might think Akasha would slow down, but that is far from the case.

Last night was an equally attractive prospect, as Clint Lee and Landikhan were behind the controls.

Music Director and Ibiza DJ legend Igor Marijuán says "we are trying to bring to Akasha the natural evolution of Las Dalias, in a 20th century sound style. Design and sound wise it is a completely new experience."

Igor has the freedom to book the artists that he loves. Artists who, he says, "will most enjoy the position of the booth in the centre of the space, surrounded by their crowd."

Looking ahead to the next few weeks, things aren't slowing down tonight as Lost Desert from All Day I Dream and Hraach join Igor on the decks. Tomorrow, Saturday 13 November, is another heady night as Berlin-native Britta Arnold appears next to super-talented LunArts signee, Glauco Di Mambro.

Then on Sunday, it's the turn of RUUTS, starting outside in the day with FourFourFour, before moving into Akasha with Shawnecy and a secret guest.

On Thursday 18 November, the duo Audiofly, who previously held a very popular Ibiza residency at the former Veto, play all night.

Later in the month, Watergate regular Matthias Meyer is the big name in town and points to the stature of artist only rising in profile.

That's far from all though. You can expect more interesting names to be added to the calendar between now and the new year.
