Movement Torino Festival set for end of October

The party doesn't stop after the Ibiza season finishes.

Stuck on what to do when the season ends? Whilst the Ibiza blues are very real, there are measures you can take to limit the blow. The party doesn't have to stop. Movement Torino Music Festival is one such option.

The annual event takes place on Thursday 31 October in Torino, north-west Italy.

Housing some of our favourite industry names and Ibiza regulars, the festival may be the perfect antidote to combatting any looming, post-summer lull.

Artists confirmed to play include techno heroine Amelie Lens, founder Derrick May and fellow Detroit luminary DJ Bone, leading ladies Anastasia Kristensen and Magit Cacoon, plus the Solid Grooves crew PAWSA, Dennis Cruz and the DJ Awards winner Michael Bibi.

Perhaps the biggest news, is that Joseph Capriati and Jamie Jones will play one of their legendary back-to-back sets.

Other confirmed names include ANOTR, Brina Knauss and D-Wynn.

Taking place at Torino's Lingotto Fiere, the 14-year-old festival proudly holds a position as one of Italy's leading dance festivals, next to the likes of Kappa Futur and More Fest.

What makes this festival especially attractive, is its stance as a showcase for all art forms. With various activities, lectures and workshops available in the run up to the party, Movement Festival is an explosion of creative culture.

Through combining visual art with sound, the event sets out to be wholly immersive. Tickets start at just €35, making it incredible value for money.

Should you need any other reason to get on board, it's worth remembering Movement's rich heritage. The festival's humble beginnings can be traced back to the birthplace of techno, Detroit, Michigan.

Linking back to the orgins of electronic music itself, one thing we can be certain is that these guys know how to throw an incredible party. Kappa Futur - which is produced by the same team - recently won Best International Festival at the DJ Awards.

Channelling all things intergalactic, this year's theme is Space Travel. Expect stunning production, mind-blowing music and vibes fit for the outer-worlds when dancing to the beat of a kick drum over this unique week.

What's more, Movement Torino also happens to fall on Halloween - always a date in the calendar that inspires the global clubbing community.

Once the festival has ended, the show continues with two consecutives club nights on 1 and 2 November.
