Ibiza is home to some of the most stunning beaches nature has to offer. Whether you're in the north as far as Portinatx or way down south, or even on the island of Formentera, you'll easily find a place to drop your anchor and immerse yourself in beach beauty.
And if you don't own a boat, you needn't worry. There are many reasonably priced boat charter options on the island.
Get ready to park your towel and apply some suncream. Here are six of the best beaches to see by boat.
Cala Jondal
Just a short 15-minute drive from Ibiza Town, Cala Jondal is a beach preferred by boat owners and those looking for natural beauty and some stylish luxury. The beach of Cala Jondal is a socialite's paradise and to feel more like one, get your lunch order delivered by sophisticated eatery Tropicana Ibiza Beach Club via its boat service.
Playa Illetes
Formentera is blessed with some of the best beaches in the world. Perfectly accessible by boat - of which there are many organised charters - Playa Illetes is a Carribean dream on the Mediterranean. It was actually voted the best in Europe and the sixth best in the world! You can even explore the naturist inside you and walk on over to the nudist area. Just remember to wear sun cream.
Cala Tarida
Picture fine white sand, turquoise waters and picturesque cliffs in the backdrop. This is Cala Tarida, just 10 km from San Antonio. This beach is perfect for families and explorers. There's plenty of activities to do and small hidden coves to discover by boat.
Cala San Vicente
A jewel of the north, Cala San Vicente is nestled in a beautiful bay with restaurants, bars and shops lined across its impressive promenade. The calm waters and spacious beach makes it the perfect place to relax and recharge.
Port de ses Caletes
Port de Ses Caletes, in between Portinatx and Cala San Vicente, is a safe getaway from the bustling tourist hotspots. Its secluded location and enveloping rock formations have created a fisherman's idea of heaven on Ibiza.
Cala Olivera
Last but by no means least is Cala Olivera on the south east coast. Nature in looks and nature in, well, nature; it's another beach where tan lines are a thing of the past. Just make sure you pack some refreshments as you won't find a Burger King anywhere near here.
The list could go on as Ibiza is blessed with many beautiful beaches. If you want to see them from the sea - and it is an experience like no other - check out our boat charter section to get a full low-down on how you can have an idyllic day on the Ibizan waves.
