For the most part, Ibiza's boat parties hit that ocean with the intention of blowing your brains out to the sound of electronic dance music. The odd curveball might be thrown in from another genre, but dance music has ruled Ibiza's waves…until now.
Throughout the summer, clubbers who relish a slice of urban music will be in their element as Ibiza's first ever urban boat party launches, and it starts this Thursday.
Funk 'n Soul boat parties will be presented by the team behind the longstanding and very successful Cirque De La Nuit boat parties. Setting sail from Playa d'en Bossa, the Funk 'n Soul boat is will be on Ibiza's biggest party vessel - the Ibiza Boat Club.
The cruiser, which will be delving into funk, soul, R & B and hip hop, is set to run an open bar formula, including soft drinks, beer, cava, sangria as well as bellini and 'sex on the boat' cocktails. You don't like to queue at the bar for your drinks? No problem as the staff serves drinks directly to the dance floor. Moreover, there also is a swim stop inside turquoise waters to cool you down if the dancers or the beats get heated.
Your ticket also includes the boat party and one entry to any night at Sankeys, including a 5€ discount on your first drink inside the club. A second club deal will also be added in, with details to be released directly at the check-in for the boat party.
Just three dates sit in the calendar, but more dates are set to be announced for the rest of the season. Stay tuned, but if you're here in July, you can now get those tickets bought.
