Wax Da Jam return to Las Dalias

The alternative event delivers eclectic talent one Thursday a month again this summer.

The hummer alternative party is back. Celebrating the original spirit of Ibiza, Wax da Jam returns one Thursday a month this summer with a remarkable cast of eclectic artists for a 'season of giving.'

Now in its 8th season, Wax da Jam brings an original and fresh take on partying once a month from June to September.

This year the Las Dalias event will see Nightmares on Wax going at it with guest DJs and different styles. Crowd participation, of course, will be at centrestage. As George Evellyn himself put it, 'The people make the party' and that is just what happens.

The opening party on 22 June kicks off the season with Sound Clash. Before midnight the party is open-air on the Terrace with Negghead. Then the experimental, hip hop and soul of Nightmares on Wax will battle it out with the dub, reggae and soul infusion of Fat Freddy's Drop (DJ Fitchie, Chopper Reeds & MC Slave), one of the world's finest live draws, seven piece band.

On 20 July the summer festival goes 100% Disco with very special guest Seth Troxler vs. Nightmares on Wax. Negghead will be back, as well as the chameleonic Harley Maxwell. Before midnight, island favourite Andy Wilson from Ibiza Sonica and Adam Regan have the Terrace.

The third date of Wax Da Jam on 17 August will be bringing you Hip Hop & Funk Jam with Nightmares on Wax vs. Kenny Dope, one half of Masters at Work, for a very special funk jam. Negghead and Harley Maxwell will also be back on this midsummer date. Meanwhile French artist Guts signed to Wax On Records will be holding down the Terrace until this lot come on.

For the final date, the All-Stars closing party on 14 September will kick off with Kazim Kazim Kazim on the terrace. Nightmares on Wax, Negghead, the colourful rhythm master Shovell on percussion, Ibiza's own Wolfgang Haffner and Ricky Ranking will bring the summer season to a close with this massive display.

The party goes from 21:00 to late. You will want to be here if you are after the original countercurrent spirit that made the of Ibiza what it is. The party welcomes any age from 16 and over with market stalls, good food and much more outside and inside.

As part of the 2017 motto for a 'season of giving,' 10% of all sales will be going to Last Night A DJ Saved My Life Foundation, the charitable foundation that creates opportunities for the dance music industry to make a positive impact in support of children in crisis.
