The time of the year to reflect on, discuss and celebrate all things electronic music is finally here on Ibiza. Everything is ready for the 10th edition of the International Music Summit (IMS) at the Hard Rock Hotel from Wednesday 24 to Friday 26 May.
With over 100 diverse and inspirational speakers, the conference addresses many of the most significant issues facing the industry at the moment. Health vs. hedonism, gender disparity, effective promotion and even music against animal cruelty are some of the themes that will be discussed this year.
You will be able to hear directly from some of the key players in the industry. Agoria, Hot Since 82, Miss Kittin, Nicole Moudaber and Seth Troxler will all be speaking. Keynote interviews include The Black Madonna, Resident Advisor, Bernard Sumner New Order, Masters at Work, Jesse Rose, The Martinez Brothers and Dixon, among many others.
An extra educational day has also been announced. On Tuesday 23 May, IMS College in collaboration with BURN Residency present a special additional free day of networking, education and workshops for music students, emergent DJs, producers and industry leaders. Free for anyone in full time education, as well as badge holders, it will feature sessions from Pete Tong, Point Blank Music School, Berklee College of Music and Warner Music Group.
Check out the video below and here for the full schedule. You will be hard-pressed for choice.
You are still in time to secure a badge for the TED of electronic music. Bear in mind that with the badge, you will also gain access to the main parties going through to Sunday 28 May, including the legendary IMS Dalt Vila.
You know where we will be next week.
