Situated in the natural reserve of Salinas, Boutique Hostal Salinas sprang to life in 2009 offering a cool 11-room hotel, the Marisquería Salinas restaurant and an outdoor area oasis, the Lo Cura Lounge. The whole place is just a very short walk to one of Ibiza's hippest beaches, Las Salinas beach and offers a stylish and cool alternative to the beachfront bars nearby. Here you will find an enclave of tranquility with lots of shaded areas, a lounging pool and restaurant bar all on one level. The idea behind the place was to create something that was unpretentious and welcoming – we think the owners have done it.
The Marisquería Salinas restaurant and lounge area both greet you with a modern take on Balearic sounds to accompany you as you take a peek at their brand new market-fresh menu. This year, food is prepared with a smaller selection of ingredients that changes as new produce becomes available. You can expect hearty, imaginative salads with everything detail thought of. Then there are some tremendous starters including a mind-blowing ceviche, homemade hummus and falafels and more.
Look out for their ever-changing array of daily specials and their classic meat dishes
like fillet steak and steak tartar or their legendary house burger. Fish fans will love the whole sea bass baked in Salinas salt – how hyper local is that? There is also a daily fixed-price menu of two dishes for just €15 – the restaurant has firmly planted itself in providing delicious food with a modern twist. This special menu is perfect for those who want to slip in and escape the heat and crowds on the beach. Whatever you choose, you will get superb food, their great music and a nice piece of tranquility.
You can expect a professional yet friendly, fun and welcoming service in the restaurant, just as in the hotel itself. Look out for their regular afternoon or evening events like the vintage clothes market on the first and last Saturday of the month or on Fridays, the Ibiza Tribe pumps out its original Ibiza sounds.
