Visitors to Ibiza this summer will find travelling from the airport to their accommodation considerably easier and cheaper this year. The public transport authorities have amplified the bus services which were started last year to make them more in line with some of the awkward flight arrival times.
From June 15th to September 15th two services will
run from the airport; the number 9 to San Antonio via San Jose and San Antonio Bay, and the number 24 to Es Cana via Santa Eulalia. The buses run every 90 minutes from 7.45 until 00.15 and in July
and August there are a couple of night services at 1.45 and 3.15.
The first day of the new services, transport bosses were disappointed that only a handful of travellers used the buses, which isn't really a surprise as very little advance publicity was given and timetables only appeared on their website several days later.
