It's official - we love gambling. Every man, woman and child in Ibiza and Formentera spent €304 each (on average) last year on the various lotteries which are run here, an increase of 8.5% on the previous year.
There are already 123 cruise ships booked to berth in Ibiza for the coming season, a massive increase on the 94 which called at the port last year. The good ship Delphin will kick-off the cruising season on 18th March and the Wind Spirit will call time as the season ends on 7th November.
Now that February's gone, it won't be forgotten because it was the coldest February in living memory, breaking all meteorological records in its wake. Not only did we have the lowest temperature ever recorded, minus 5 degrees centigrade, but the whole month was 2 degrees below average.
