We often hear how overworked hospital casualty departments are, but spare a thought for the emergency services of Ibiza when the summer tourists swell the population thirty fold.
Help is at hand though as this year the medical centre at Es Viver, close to the McDonalds/Lidl roundabout on the road from Ibiza to the airport, will be providing an all night casualty service.
This will take some of the pressure off the main Can Misses hospital which will still deal with the more serious cases requiring emergency treatment.
