The island's tourism promotion agency is embarking on a whistlestop tour of Spain in order to drum up visitors from the mainland to Ibiza this coming season. Covering no less than 11 cities; Valencia, Alicante, Murcia, Albacete, Teruel, Cuenca, Castellón, Zaragoza, Lleida, Andorra and Barcelona, the tour will last for 14 hectic days.
Aimed mostly at travel agents, the island's facilities will be promoted hand in hand with the large number of transport links by plane and ferry from the mainland, in order to bring Spanish tourists, many of whom see Ibiza as almost like a foreign country, here.
