Well it's not exactly a shipwreck but we have to grab your attention somehow! The Rolón Sur cargo ship, marooned on an islet near Formentera, may have to stay there until summer when the seas are calmer and weather conditions are more favourable for a refloating attempt.
Up to now a special rescue/towing ship has been unable to budge the stricken vessel, though most of its potentially environmentally damaging fuel has been removed from its tanks.
The ship was carrying a cargo of furniture from the mainland and now people who'd ordered chairs, beds, sofas and bookshelves will just have to sit about on orange boxes for a few months longer!
