Our friends at British budget airline easyJet inform us that passenger numbers on their route from Stansted airport (near London) to Ibiza increased by 53% in 2003 from the previous year. So popular was the destination that easyJet put an extra daily plane onto the route to cater for the extra demand.
This just demonstrates the changing face of holidaying in Ibiza as independently minded people break from the traditional one and two week package holidays to book holidays which suit themselves and not the tour companies.
