When thinking about Ibiza, it's almost impossible not to think about the long-running night by the label Defected Records. They are back in Ibiza for the 2011 summer season taking over Pacha every Saturday night with the opening party on June 4th, and the closing party to take place on September 24th.
Pacha, a truly unique Ibicenco experience, opened in 1973, and has undergone several renovations and enlargements since, holding up to 4000 guests. Despite the dressed up crowd and the high-class vibe at Defected, there's little or no attitude most of the time, with a diverse crowd of people from all different backgrounds and beliefs coming together for their common love of house music.
The sound of Defected is representative of house music in its purest form, reminiscent of the disco era, but also with elements of funky house and electro, and their DJs playing records from the very beginning of house music to the newest tunes of today. The Defected nights at Pacha are all about creating the modern day Saturday night disco experience. “Disco is the ultimate feel good music for the heart and soul...from your head right down to your feet! And, Pacha Ibiza is THE ultimate meeting point”, says Defected Label head Simon Dunmore.

These legendary Saturday nights will feature the sounds of house music's finest DJs such as Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Junior Jack, Kid Creme, Dimitri from Paris, Sandy Rivera, and The Shapeshifters. who are all playing exclusively at Pacha Ibiza. You can also expect all the regular Defected residents such as Copyright, Simon Dunmore, ATFC, Chocolate Puma, DJ Chus, Junior Jack, and MC Shurakano. In addition to an amazing lineup, there will be some of house music's best vocalists doing live PAs, Shovell on percussion, and some performances from the island's hottest dancers.
The highlight of the Defected parties this season is the return of Bob Sinclar who is set to host his own night on five special events. Last year all of his events were sell outs, so don't delay in purchasing tickets for these extra special Defected events.
