This year Ibiza has been awarded 18 Blue Flags for its beaches. The Flags are awarded as international recognition of certain standards
being achieved – accessibility, water quality and environmental information for beach users.
There are two more beaches on the list than last year with San Jose leading the charge with six of its beaches flying the flag for Ibiza. The list is as follows; Cala Tarida, Cala Conta (2), Cala
Bassa, Cala d'Hort, Cala Vadella (new), Santa Eulalia, Es Cana, Cala Llenya, Cala Llonga, Es Figueral (new), Puerto San Miguel, Cala San Vicente, Portinatx, Benirras, Cala Gracio, Cala des Moro and
Es Puet.
Cala Conta
We sent our photographer out to both Cala Bassa and Cala Conta to snap a flag but there were none to be seen. Some come on San Jose, run the flag up the pole so we can salute you!
