Vintage shopping in Ibiza

Ibiza’s top vintage shops.

Ibiza's shopping scene is one of the world's most fascinating. Eclectic designers and brands from around the world choose Ibiza to showcase their creations as well as a whole host of homegrown talent adding to the pot. But it's not all fresh, new and innovative designs here on the island, vintage shopping hangouts are aplenty in Ibiza, offering some of the world's most amazing gems from eras past.

There's something magical about vintage shopping, inspecting the racks for that fabulous dress from a forgotten time or rummaging for antique trinkets and one off pieces of furniture. If you can tear yourself away from the beach (or the bar) for long enough, these are our top picks when it comes to must-visit vintage shopping spots.

Holala Ibiza, Ibiza Town

With stores in Ibiza, Paris, LA, Saint Tropez and a base in Barcelona, Holala is an institution when it comes to vintage. Located in the centre of Ibiza Town, the Ibiza store has been running since 1981, featuring in Vogue UK and Elle Spain and playing host to designer and celebrity fans, including model, Kate Moss, and Dolce & Gabbana. Expect to find vintage clothing carefully handpicked from every corner of the world.

Vintage - Icons & Echoes Santa Eulalia

New to the island this year, you'll find this vintage emporium on a quiet back street in Santa Eulalia. The owner, Elaine ran a successful vintage store in Manchester, UK and moved the business to Ibiza in January (2015). You could get lost for hours in this little store, with everything from vintage ceramics, glassware and 50's knick-knacks to jewellery, clothing and vintage editions of Playboy. Designer clothing collections include, Mary Quant and Vivienne Westwood while you're guaranteed to hunt out a one off military jacket or a 60's sequin top. Packed with weird and wonderful buys this boutique is more an experience than a shop. Top Tip - Spot a vinyl record you want to buy? Ask Elaine to spin it for you on her father's original 1970's record player for an extra dose of vintage cool.

Origins, Santa Gertrudis

Strictly speaking it's not a vintage shop, but this little stall/store does have a unique collection of vintage sunglasses. Situated just off the pretty square in Santa Getrudis you'll find cool retro designs from designers such as Jaques Fath and Atelier and you can pop over and have a quiet cafe con leche in one of the cute cafes when you're finished.

Vincente Ganesha, Ibiza Town

The oldest fashion store in Ibiza is a must-visit for fashion fans. Part boutique, part costume cupboard, this well-known shop is filled with everything from antique matador outfits to vintage Dior. Be ready to rummage through rails of pieces from the 60's, 70's and 80's. The entrance is hidden by endless rails of exotic finds from founder, Vincente Henandez' travels. It's ‘VIP' only in the indoor vintage section, one shopper at a time meaning you get a personal shopping experience. As well as vintage gems, you can get your hands on intricately beaded kaftans and Rajastani ceremonial skirts.
