Children's Day - Ibiza Rugby Ten's

Calling all parents - a unique experience for your children across Ibiza Rugby Tens.

Next weekend promises to be an exciting time for children in Ibiza.

As part of the Ibiza Rugby Tens, the organisers, RugbySpy, have two special events planned to give children the opportunity to experience a little of what rugby has to offer.

Friday with the Stars

On Friday 7th June, a team of experienced rugby players will give a demonstration of their skills at the Can Misses stadium in Ibiza, and will be available to answer any questions between 18.00 and 19.00 hrs. This would be particularly good for school parties or groups of children, and teachers or parents are asked to make contact to confirm attendance and group size before next Friday, 31st May by mailing info@rugbyspy.co.uk.

Saturday with Coaching and Competition

The following day, Saturday 8th June, RugbySpy are offering two coaching and skills sessions; one running from 10.30 - 13.00 hrs, and the next from 14.30 - 16.00 hrs. This is a great opportunity for children to learn basic skills, such as balance, hand to eye co-ordination, teamwork and, of course, be introduced to a fun new sport!

In addition to the coaching, the children will be given the opportunity to enter a competition, and the lucky winner will be presented with a cup just before the main final of the Ibiza Tens Rugby tournament starts at around 17.30 hrs.

Free Rugby Ball for Each Participant

All the children participating will be given their own rugby ball (and there are even a few spares for younger brothers and sisters who can't join in!), and free drinks and snacks will be available, courtesy of the Anadon family and the Mambo group of Ibiza.

These sessions are suitable for both boys and girls between the ages of five and twelve. There are 500 spaces available, and reservations must be made in advance by mailing info@rugbyspy.co.uk, stating telephone number, age of the child and preferred session time. The application is on a first-come, first-served basis, so don't delay!

Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and whilst the sessions are free of charge, RugbySpy are suggesting that parents make a small donation to the Charity appeal on the day. Participants of the sessions can then watch the Ibiza Tens Rugby Tournament for free, and their parents or guardians will be charged a discounted entry fee of just €10.

With family ethos very much at its core, RugbySpy are certainly not intending to simply put on this amazing event, and then leave. Their professional coaches will be writing specific session plans which will be translated in Spanish so that all schools attending will be able to carry on teaching rugby in class. In addition to this, the local rugby club in Ibiza Town will be making introductions to the schools to encourage children to take up the sport.

A unique and exciting weekend ahead, with long-lasting and far-reaching benefits. If you are in Ibiza, you really don't want to miss it!!
