Sustainable culinary education: Ibiza's zero waste workshop

Saturday 11 May, Ibiza Produce will kick off its year's free workshops with the event Zero Waste - Local Product, taking place at the Mercat de Forada in Buscastell in San Antonio. Chef Erika Tangari will lead this initiative, with free registration available through info@ibizaproduce.org. From 11:00 to 13:00, participants will have the chance to explore techniques for the efficient use of local produce such as cruciferous vegetables and citrus, aiming to promote sustainable practices and reduce food waste.

The objective of this collaboration is clear: to promote circular economy and sustainability in Ibiza. This workshop not only provides practical tools for preventing food surplus but also aims to showcase the value of local agricultural products and the crucial role of farms in the economic and environmental fabric of the region. All necessary materials for the workshop will be provided at no cost, thus promoting equitable access to this invaluable community learning and action experience.
