Going the villa route gives you privacy and many ways to enjoy yourself in a top home away from home. Here we pick some of the best ones for groups and families.


Country Finca Benirrás

If you are looking for a more traditional Ibicenco-style villa, this 400-year old finca will be a surprise and delight. The décor is Spanish in style and the place retains many of its original architectural features, including the Juniper wood-beamed ceilings with their exotic aroma. The bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and there's a very well equipped kitchen that even has a juicer to help revive tired bodies. It has a lovely garden with a large swimming pool and a barbecue and if you want to go out and about, the famous Benirrás beach is moments away with its fabulous sunsets and clear waters. Both families and large groups will love the privacy this place affords and you probably won't want to leave it behind.


Villa Ibiza Town

What you get here is a luxurious converted finca that has been fully renovated without losing an ounce of its charm. It's close to Playa d'en Bossa and Ibiza Town with all their myriad attractions and nightlife. That said you wouldn't be bored if you just stayed in. There's a games room under the pool with a Playstation, home cinema, table football and table tennis; it even has its own bar. This villa is an amazing place for groups and families with children who are easily bored. There's plenty of mod cons as you might expect and you get a welcome hamper to greet you; there's plenty of linen and towels and in high season you get a daily 3-hour cleaning service. You truly get the best of all possible worlds here.


Country house San Carlos

A place of peace and tranquility with lemon and orange trees in the garden and surrounded by pine-clad hills, you'll feel rested after staying here. This villa has grounds that are large enough to hold a wedding and can accommodate around 80 guests. You'll find mod cons like iPod docking stations; satellite TV and Wi-Fi and a great kitchen. The owner Vicente can't do enough for you, though will respect your privacy. It's close to the pretty village of San Carlos and lots of beautiful countryside for great walks. It's also a short drive to beaches like Aguas Blancas and Es Figueral. The interior is traditional Spanish; it's bright and cosy and it comes at a reasonable price.


Country villa San Lorenzo

This very tastefully decorated finca combines the traditional with pretty Balinese touches. There are en-suite bathrooms and a dressing area in all the five bedrooms and all have their own private entrances. The communal areas of the large kitchen, lounge, interior patio and pool means you can socialise yet get your own sanctuary if you need it. It's located in the very pretty San Lorenzo area close to the restaurant mile on the San Juan road – eating out choices are vast. A well-equipped kitchen with a useful wine refrigerator is on hand and there's even a dedicated area for yoga. Santa Eulalia is a short drive and Ibiza Town a very short 20 minutes away. You can even stock up on produce grown by the owner's parents. A treasure.


Villa Casa Claus Morna Arriba and Villa Casa Claus Morna Abajo

You can rent these gorgeously minimalist villas together for a big group celebration or separately if your group is smaller. Both feature award-winning Japanese design with lots of white, earth and sky blue colours. Expansive glass adds to the airiness and both have pretty infinity pools: you'll feel like you stepped inside Wallpaper magazine. In the Arriba villa you even have a professional kitchen to cater for all kinds of events. The villas both overlook the beautiful Morna Valley and are close to San Carlos or a bit further away, Santa Eulalia. Most rooms have en-suite bathrooms; there's air-con and a wood-burning stove for when the climate is a bit fresher. Sea view Finca Cala Salada

A house in the hills with expansive grounds with stunning views of the sea is what you will find here. This 500-year old finca has some beautiful Balinese pieces and artworks throughout and lots of vivid colour everywhere. It's right next to the sublime beach of Cala Salada and has lots of relaxing outside spaces and dining areas to choose from, plus Balinese beds and even a vegetable garden as well as a large pool There's five double bedrooms, three with en-suites and the master bedroom has it's own private terrace. San Antonio is a short drive away for shopping and the famous Sunset Strip. Miguel, the owner also owns the excellent Kumharas across the Bay.
