ANTS march on Ushuaïa

The skinny on Ushuaïa's Saturday party, currently enjoying its season debut.

Now that we have the full season line ups, we thought we'd give you another heads up about Ushuaïa's first homegrown party, ANTS, which is already proving to be one of the venue's most frivolous and island-friendly events.

Beginning with extensive creepy-crawly postering and some promo films featuring fashion-don't black lycra body suits… ANTS has swiftly developed into the party colony it promised us. This season Ushuaïa has diversified in both music policy and party set up, so its parties do require a bit of explaining. At ANTS, the focus of Ushuaïa is flipped around, so that the DJ plays just behind (or in front) of the paddling pool at the beach end of the venue and is right amongst the action with all the clubbers. Only for the last few hours does the focal point transfer to the famous Ushuaïa stage, so that for most of the event there is a really fun, casual day-party vibe, but you still don't miss out on the impressive Ushuaïa production experience.

ANTS is also the best value party at Ushuaïa by far. It runs from 3pm until midnight, and entry is always €30. A potential 9 hours of partying for €30 – nice one! And if you were thinking they've kept prices down by skimping on DJs, think again. ANTS line-ups are incredibly strong all season with frequent appearances from UNER, Los Suruba, Deetron, Andrea Oliva, ONNO and Reboot, plus appearances from Geroge Fitzgerald, Nic Fanciulli, Scuba, Martin Buttrich, Joris Voorn, Reboot and so many more. Every single date boasts a solid cohort of underground artists, but there are a few dates in September we're particularly keen for. Saturday the 14th of September for example, sees Radioslave, Lee Curtiss and Danny Daze join Andrea Oliva, Los Suruba and ONNO in the ANTS colony, whilst the closing party on the 28th will host Reboot, Deetron, Timo Maas, Nicole Moudaber, Andrea Oliva, Los Suruba and ONNO.

Grab your ticket or book your stay through Spotlight and find out for yourself; this new Ushuaïa production is earning more recognition with every Saturday that passes.
